I received a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University in 1971. In 1982 I earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix. I began teaching for Granite School District in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1982. My first assignment was fifth grade, which I taught for seven years. Since 1989 I have been teaching first grade. This is my 24th year with the Granite School District. I am currently teaching at Upland Terrace Elementary School located in the East Millcreek area of Salt Lake City.

I am still very connected to Mesa. My parents and my sister Karen live just a few blocks north of Westwood. I spend a lot of time flying and driving between Mesa and Salt Lake City. I have three married sons. Matthew and Nichole Earl reside in West Jordan Utah. They are the parents of Megan (11), Katelyn (10), Shelby (8) and Jaxon (3). Jeff and Marquita Earl live in Payson, Utah, and they are the parents of Hannah (10), Lauren (8), Dallin (5) and Easton (1). They are expecting another baby boy in February 2006. Jonathan and Katherine Earl live in Apache Junction, Arizona, and they will become parents in March 2006.
