After graduating from Westwood, I attended Mesa Community College where I met Alan Michaels, whom I married in 1967. We divorced after 30 years. He and I remain good friends; we have “a divorce made in Heaven!”

My older daughter, Catherine, is 37.  She is a college professor and has recently completed her doctorate. Victoria, my younger daughter is 32. She is currently beginning a management career after 13 years as a professional pastry chef, having trained at the Ritz Hotel in Paris. My daughters are the greatest delights and blessings of my life.

During the years of my marriage, I lived in Arizona, Colorado, Ohio, New York State, Connecticut, Illinois, Nevada, Florida, and Alabama. I have worked as an LPN, a Bridal Consultant, and as a seamstress specializing in custom-designed wedding gowns. Following my graduation from Southern Illinois University with a BS in Paralegal Studies, I established and taught my own Paralegal program in Colorado. I worked as a substitute teacher in Colorado, Nevada and Alabama. I have also done volunteer work, including as a costumed docent at a historic antebellum home in Mobile, and have even written an unpublished novel. I enjoy dancing, creative sewing, and travel.

Two weeks before Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast this summer, my daughter Victoria & I moved from Mobile, Alabama to Dallas, Texas.
