How do you put 40 yrs of life into a few words? Well I'll try! Three days after graduation in 1965, my family moved to Colorado (for the summer)--well we're still here. I met and married a Grand Jct. native and we have moved in a circle and back to Grand Jct. I have six children, four daughters and two sons, and one Navajo daughter. We have lived in Provo, Reno, Las Vegas, Tucson, Arvada (suburb of Denver) and back to Grand Jct. All the kids are grown now and we have added five sons-in-law and thirteen grandchildren (still waiting for the daughters-in-law). Two years ago I had the opportunity to move in with my mother and care for her till she passed away this past March. Right now I am recovering from back surgery and will miss being with you all but cherish all the good memories of our times in school together. A few years ago, at Christmas time, we were at Temple Square in Salt Lake City to see the lights (our 3rd daughter served her mission there) and I ran into a sister missionary from Mesa, AZ--I told her I grew up in Mesa and in fact was in the first graduating class of Westwood High. She immediately replied "Wow--that's such an old school!" Boy, did I feel ancient!!!
